Matt Lanter, known for his role as Liam on ’90210′ for the last 5 years, has now shifted to an alien named Roman on CW’s new show, Star-Crossed. Star-Crossed is an upcoming American science fiction romance television series created by Meredith Averill that is expected to air on The CW Television Network during the 2013–14 American television season. The series follows a romance between a human girl and an alien boy when he and eight others of his kind are integrated into a suburban high school.

Lanter plays Roman, an Atrian, an alien who crash landed on earth. Lanter let us know that playing an Antrian was exciting and allowed him to create a character on his own. “A dfferent world, different feel, and different look” promised Lanter more creativeness to his acting.
Only knowing what we know from the pilot, Lanter was unable to dive anymore into the series. He did talk about an Atrian language that was created just for this show. We get a glimpse of that in the first episode.
He said the show “has a lot of potential to be very deep.” “It’s got a chance to feel epic” with the two worlds colliding. He hopes the show can have in depth storylines.
Lanter explains that Star-Crossed has an “epic feel” and hopefully it comes off that way to the viewers come early 2014.
